FAQ
Which devices are compatible?
Compatible devices are laptops, phones, tablets, headphones, smartwatches, game consoles and other devices with USB-C ports such as MacBook Pro/Air, iPhone,iPad, Dell XPS and Samsung Galaxy.
Why is there a difference rated capacity and nominal capacity?
Nominal capacity refers to the total capacity of the battery cells inside the power bank, while rated capacity refers to the actual amount of power the power bank can deliver under standard output conditions (such as 5V/3A). Nominal capacity is a theoretical value, whereas rated capacity accounts for energy conversion efficiency, circuit losses, and other factors, and is therefore lower than the nominal capacity.
Can a power bank be taken on the plane?
Yes, according to regulations by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and most airlines, carrying a power bank with a capacity under 100Wh is allowed. The RAPID, with a capacity of 10000mAh (36Wh), meets this requirement and can be carried on board without concern.
Battery life and temperature FAQs
Q1: What is the lifespan of the RAPID power bank?
Answer: The RAPID power bank can support up to 300–500 full charge cycles. Please note these are estimates, and actual lifespan may vary depending on usage frequency and other factors.
Q2: What are the optimal operating and storage temperatures for the RAPID power bank?
Charging: 0–25°C
Discharging: 0–25°C (please note that high temperatures may cause power reduction)
Storage: -10~65°C
Q3: At what altitude can the power bank be used?
Answer: High-altitude environments with low pressure and low temperature may affect the power bank’s performance and battery life. At very high altitudes (such as above 2500 meters), internal chemical reactions can be impaired due to low temperature and pressure, resulting in reduced charging efficiency or complete failure to operate. Additionally, extreme conditions may increase the risk of battery swelling or explosion. For safety and optimal performance, it is not recommended to use the power bank at altitudes above 3000 meters.
Q4: How can I extend the lifespan of the RAPID power bank?
Answer: It is recommended to recharge the portable charger at least once every three months.
Why does the power bank provide less electricity than expected?
There are usually differences from expectations, mainly due to the following two factors:
1. Capacity conversion
Cell capacity refers to the total capacity of the cells inside the power bank.
For example, the total cell capacity of the RAPID Pro power bank is 27650 mAh.
Rated capacity refers to the actual amount of power a power bank can output under standard conditions (such as 5V/3A). For the RAPID Pro 27K, the rated capacity is 15900mAh.
The difference arises because cell capacity is a theoretical value, while rated capacity takes into account factors such as energy conversion efficiency and circuit losses. As a result, the actual usable power is lower than the cell capacity.
2. Energy conversion efficiency
When the power bank converts the voltage of the battery cell( such as 3.7 V) to the voltage required by the device( such as 5V), there will be energy loss. Usually, the efficiency is about 80%, which means that part of the power will be lost during the conversion process.
To estimate the number of the charges, use the following formula:
(Battery capacity *55%~66%) ÷Device battery capacity≈ Number of charges. For example, a 5000mAh power bank can usually provide about 1 charge for a 3000mAh device.
How to keep the power bank charging and discharging quickly?
To ensure fast and stable charging and discharging performance when using the power bank, we recommend the following.
1. Choose the Right Charger:
Use a charger that supports fast charging protocols and has a high output power (such as PD 65W or 100W). Avoid using low-power chargers (such as 5V/1A).
2. Use a Good Charging Cable:
Select original or high-quality fast charging cables. Keep connectors clean and secure, and avoid excessively long cables.
3. Device Compatibility:
Make sure the connected devices support fast charging protocols; otherwise, fast charging will not be achieved.
